The Liebert® GXT5-750IRT2UXLE and GXT5-1000IRT2UXLE UPS systems by Vertiv are small, online uninterruptible power systems (UPS) that continually adjust and condition their output voltage. Computers and other delicate equipment are supplied with pure sine-wave input power by the Liebert® GXT5. These two systems are the smallest in the GXT5 range and would usually be found in homes and small offices.
When it is first created, AC power is stable and pure. However, voltage sags, spikes, and full failure can occur during transmission and distribution, which can disrupt computer operations, result in data loss, and damage equipment. Electronics are shielded from these disruptions by the Liebert® GXT5. The Liebert® GXT5 can power connected loads even if the mains go out, as it continuously charges its batteries from the mains.

Installation of new batteries:
Replacing the batteries is a fairly simple job that you can do yourself. The only tools required would be a screwdriver and some basic know-how. To begin with, press the button on the left front of the UPS to open the panel and loosen the screw to remove the battery door. Pull out the battery pack, ensuring you do not damage any wires or packaging, as you will need to reuse them now. Take out the old batteries from the pack and install the new ones. Slide this pack back into the UPS and secure it with the screw removed earlier.
Maintenance:
Since these batteries are being installed into a system that is always connected to the mains power, you don’t have to worry too much about their charging regime. There are, however, a few tips to help prolong their life. First of all, once the batteries are installed, leave them without a load for a while to fully charge and reset. Secondly, look after your UPS. Don’t use it a table, ensure sufficient ventilation and try to use less than 40% load when possible. Lastly, if not being used for a while, top up the charge every couple of months.
