To extend battery performance, optional external battery cabinets (EBC) can be connected in parallel with the UPS. The more EBC linked to the UPS, the more run time you will undoubtedly receive. To one side of the UPS, in a tower design, or stacked beneath the UPS, in a rack configuration, are external battery cabinets. Up to 6-EBCs may be found utilising EBC-detection when up to 10-EBCs are connected to the UPS.

Maintenance:
Due to the fact that these batteries are being installed into a system that is constantly connected to the mains energy, you don't need to worry too much about the charging schedule for them. Here are several ideas to make them survive longer, though. After installation, the batteries must first be kept unloaded so they can finish charging and reset. Secondly, look after your UPS. When possible, utilise less than 40% of the load, avoid using it as a table, and make sure there is adequate ventilation. Last but not least, recharge your device every few months if it has been idle.
