Introducing The Jazzy Elite HD, Jazzy Elite 14, Jazzy Fusion and the Jazzy 614 HD by Pride Mobility. All four are similar power chairs that do an outstanding job while meeting the needs of the user. They offer a high weight capacity and extra power perfect for going anywhere you need to, add the front wheel drive design for excellent manoeuvrability and you have a fantastic range of wheelchairs. Installing your batteries is very simple and shouldn't take too much work. Always refer to your manual on how to change the batteries. For your convenience these power chairs will come with a battery box that you must slide out and open, you will see two separate batteries in there, carefully unplug these and replace them with the new ones. Slide the battery box back into your wheelchair making sure everything is as it was before and that's it.
Battery care is very important, If you misuse your battery you will have to replace them sooner therefore correct battery care will actually save you money. When your battery arrives it will be almost fully charged, the first thing you should do is to put them on charge, overnight if need be but never for more than 24-hours as this will damage the battery. It is good practice to put your batteries on charge after every use once you have installed them as this will keep them at peak condition. If you are not using them for at least a week you should unplug them from your powerchair to prevent battery discharge.
A battery information sheet will arrive with the battery (also on our website so you can read before), it is important to read this and take good care of your battery. These batteries are, as with most other batteries recyclable, please help us and the environment by recycling at your local recycling centre.
