When your order is delivered to you the batteries will be almost fully charged, but you still need to complete a full charge them before first use, it should not take that long, just until the charger indicates its ready, if in doubt overnight will be more than enough, do not just install and go without this initial charge, doing so can shorten expected life span, it's well worth doing
Most users will not even notice but it will take a number of charges and associated use in your equipment before they are capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is quite normal and part of the conditioning process, after you have used your equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, discharging the batteries fully will only reduce their life expectancy, it will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run, they may be protracted periods where the batteries are not being used, if this is the case ensure they are fully charged first, then top up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than four weeks
The battery type is AGM which is short for absorbed glass mat construction, they are also valve regulated, they means they can be used electric vehicles around the home or on the road without the fear of any leakage, with deep cycle properties that this type of installation would require, they will require no maintenance throughout their entire life span and are not-hazardous so safe for travelling including by air but you should check with your airline at point of booking your ticket
The information we have provided on this page is a guide, you should carefully check the all of the details of your mobility equipment before ordering as many are very similar, if still in doubt you can look at your old batteries, take a note of the dimensions and anything that may be written on the side of them, this will always be the best way, we have also included the physical dimensions on this page so you can confirm, as the batteries are made of lead they are recyclable and environmentally friendly, more information about recycling can be found on a link at the foot of this page
