The UPS design incorporates hot-swappable batteries and all necessary hardware for tower or equipment rack installation. Installation of new batteries;
The task of changing the batteries is rather simple; with some basic knowledge and a screwdriver you will be able to do it yourself. Start by pushing the button on the left front of the UPS to release the panel and remove the screw retaining the battery door from its position. Carefully remove the battery pack because you will need to use the wires and packing once more. After removing the old batteries from the pack, install the new ones. Use the screw you previously removed to secure this pack inside the UPS once again.
Maintenance:
Looking after batteries are a crucial part of owning them, they need to be maintained and charged correctly otherwise they will fail. Luckily, in UPS systems some of the pressure is relieved due to the batteries constantly being connected to the mains power. There are some important things you should do to help however. Once the batteries are installed, allow them to run without any load to help them get comfortable in their new home. You should also not use the UPS as a table and make sure it is well ventilated. Lastly, if not being used for a while, top up with charge every couple of months.
