The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but you should still charge them fully before first use, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, do not miss out this important first step, it will help set them up and possibly extend the overall life expectancy of them
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, as soon as you after each use put them back on charge, do not allow them to sit in a discharged state, you should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, if it turns out there are periods where the equipment is not being used on a regular basis then ensure the batteries are fully charged before any period of downtime and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
The battery type is AGM which is short for absorbed glass mat construction, they are also valve regulated, they means they can be used electric vehicles around the home or on the road without the fear of any leakage, with deep cycle properties that this type of installation would require, they will require no maintenance throughout their entire life span and are not-hazardous so safe for travelling including by air but you should check with your airline at point of booking your ticket
The information we have provided on this page is a guide, you should carefully check the all of the details of your mobility equipment before ordering as many are very similar, if still in doubt you can look at your old batteries, take a note of the dimensions and anything that may be written on the side of them, this will always be the best way, we have also included the physical dimensions on this page so you can confirm, these batteries are made mainly of lead which is easy to transform so therefore environmentally friendly and recyclable, more information regarding recycling will be found at a link at the foot of this page
