Looking after your new batteries for Etac Balder powerchair
The manual contains a lot of charging information, but you'll get the most out of your new batteries if you stick to a few simple rules and tips. To begin, charge your batteries completely before the first use; this could take 10 minutes or 10 hours. Second, if you use your powerchair every day, charge its batteries as soon as you get home from work. Each morning, your vehicle will be ready. After daily use, manufacturers recommend charging your vehicle's batteries for at least 8 to 14 hours. Allowing them to be discharged to less than 20% capacity will help to extend the battery's life significantly. If not in use, charge every four weeks to slow down the natural self-discharge.

The weight of the batteries, which are filled with lead, will be the most difficult aspect of changing them. The batteries are stored beneath the seat and can be accessed by removing the shroud. Pay close attention to how the batteries are connected and, if necessary, take a picture of the wires.
