The standard batteries are flooded cell, or sometimes known as wet which are very good at their job however they do require regular maintenance. You can select the AGM or GEL upgrade on this page which will eliminate the fluid top up requirement but of course charging is still important.

In order to improve the performance and extend the life of your Club Car Carryall 500, 550 or 700 batteries, it's imperative that you follow the maintenance recommendations in your handbook as well as general maintenance rules. You should often check the electrical contact to ensure the terminals are clean. Also make sure the batteries are routinely checked for corrosion or damage. When not in use, please store and recharge once a month, and charge completely after each use.
