When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, the time of the first charge will be dependent on the charger, just leave it on until its finished, do not just fit them and roll without this initial charge, it will help to extend the battery life overall
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, letting the batteries sit in a discharged state, even partially is not a good idea, as soon as you have used them put them back on charge, discharging the batteries fully will only reduce their life expectancy, it will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run, if for any unforeseen reason they is an extended period where you are not using the batteries make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight
Check the code on your mobility equipment carefully to ensure you are ordering the correct battery set as many of them have very similar names of codes, if in doubt you could check the dimensions of the batteries and take note of anything that may be written on the side of them, the size of the batteries are also specified below so you can confirm, as the batteries are made of lead they are recyclable and environmentally friendly, more information about recycling can be found on a link at the foot of this page
