When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, the charger LED lights will indicate whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready, you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy
It may be apparent that it will take a few charges and associated use in your electric vehicle before the battery is capable of receiving a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, once you have used your equipment put the batteries back on charge, do not let them sit in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, you should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and do not put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight
