You will generally find these batteries in pairs to make 24v to power mobility scooters and lightweight powered chairs. they need no maintenance and very resilient. will not spill so safe to use on portable devices and if its a travel mobility device that might get thrown in the boot of a car then that's no issue either, plus safe to take on a aeroplane.
As tough as they are they still need to be kept charged, our advice would be to charge them after every use, even if you have only popped down the local shops in the morning, bit do not leave on the charger any longer than is required to fully charge. if there is a long period where they are not being used then a re-charge every four weeks will be necessary to keep them in good order.
