There are two batteries in this as will be required for the Stannah Starla stairlift.
The Starla stairlift is plush addition to the range designed to fit in with the home owners internal decoration offering options to custom fit with the least amount of damage to existing walls incorporating slimline rails that attach to the stair treads and risers, along with other optional and fixed features such as retractable rails, powered-swivel seat, two way remote control choice of colours and trim.
The batteries are the recommended valve regulated sealed lead acid type, this will not leak and not-hazardous, if you stair lift now struggles with the task then its time to change them, it’s not a difficult job that can be done with basic tools and minimum know how, very much within the capability of most.
If you are not using the stair lift of batteries for a period of time, perhaps they are in a holiday home, then they should be recharged every four weeks, so be mindful of this.
