This battery is the 6v 7ah base, the same code is used for the 6v 4ah battery but its a different shape and physical size, we have included a link on the alternatives tab to it. We would strongly suggest that you look closely at your existing battery and measure it to confirm which it the correct one to purchase.
The physical size of this offer is 151 x 34 x 94mm, yours may have a lead attached to it, this is put on by the manufacture of the particular toy its fitting, just take this off and put on the new battery, some are soldered, if so and you are not able to solder it you may want to get a couple of flat spade terminals from any car spares shop and attach to the wires instead, this also means its easier to change next time.
If the size of your battery is 70mm x 48mm x 102mm then go for the battery on the alternatives tab. Its a 6v 4.5ah version to replace the 6v 4ah you have, now some of these, dependant on the toy maker have put a plastic cover on the top with leads coming out, this has been glued on, gently remove this and you will see the terminals underneath and you can replace the leads as mentioned above.
The battery will come with a good charge in it, but you should still charge it fully before first use, also charge after every use, these often take a battering by the pure nature of the use, used much for a period then ignored for a long period of time, if not being used recharge every 6-weeks, never put away in a discharged state, do not leave on the charger for any longer than require to obtain a full charge, maybe eight hours maximum, they are capable of many charges but only if looked after.
The battery is valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA with AGM technology, they will not spill even if mounted on the side, they are not hazardous.
