The batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but you will still have to charge them before first use, the only time when this is not the case is when its going in something with its own built in power supply like an alarm system, while you only need to maintain a charge until the charger indicates that its ready, it probably will not take long and it is very important so not a step you should overlook, do not just install and go without this initial charge, doing so can shorten expected life span, it's well worth doing
