After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, regardless of this you still need to complete a full charge before first use, an over rider to this would be if it's going into something with its own built in always connected power supply which will complete the job for you, you do not need to leave it on for hours on end, it will probably not take very long at all depending on the charger, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished, make sure you do not miss the initial charge, doing so may reduce overall life expectancy
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, each time you have used your new battery then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, you should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
These batteries will require no general maintenance, no topping up with fluid as it has none, they are AGM and VRLA, of course with deep cycle properties, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in the home or in portable equipment
You should confirm the code on your battery carefully, there are many that are very similar, if in doubt look at you old batteries, check the dimensions and take note of anything written on the side of them, we have also included the physical dimensions of the battery to make certain, the batteries are recyclable, the main content is lead which is easily transformed, more information about recycling can be found on our recycling page, link to which is at the foot of this page
