APEX 1UD5742 replacement 12-volt battery sealed lead AGM VRLA
Replacement APEX 1UD5742 non-spillable sealed lead acid valve regulated 12-volt 4.5ah batteries, seen in alarm systems, emergency lighting, UPS and portable devices, both AGM & VRLA, offered direct from warehouse at low cost

Below you should hopefully find we have listed all of the required and relevant information on this page which should help assist you in the renewal of a compatible battery for your APEX 1UD5742, they are 12-volt with 4.5ah of energy storage often seen in UPS systems as well as emergency lighting and even lawn mowers, they are capable of deep cycling, they are safe to be handled and to use indoors or in portable devices as well of course as rechargeable they are made for this kind of application, they are the required VRLA with AGM technology (more information about the qualities of the chemistry of them will be found below) they are recyclable and very environmentally friendly, see our recycle page for details

After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, regardless of this you should still complete a full charge before first use, this will not be necessary only if being fitted in something that is always connected to the mains like a UPS system which will do this job for you, the time of the first charge will be dependent on the charger, just leave it on until its finished, it will probably not take very long, while you may well be tempted just to use them without charging first, if it's going in a portable device it would be unwise to miss it out

You probably will not even notice it but it can take up to ten charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive and hold a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is all quite a normal part of the conditioning process, after use recharge as soon as you can, you do not want to allow them to sit in a partially discharged state, you cannot rejuvenate this kind of battery by running them down, going out of your way to do so will shorten its life, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries fully charge before putting them away and every six weeks, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time

These 12-volt batteries are constructed as AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) and VRLA ( valve regulated lead acid ) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in portable devices, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance

We have provided the information here only as a guide, you need to check the code carefully as so many of them are pretty similar so it's easy to make a mistake, you will also find we have listed the relevant dimensions so you can make sure you are ordering the correct one, looking at your old power pack and taking note of the dimensions and anything that may be printed on the side is probably the wisest thing to do, these 12v 4.5ah batteries are constructed mainly of lead which is easy to recycle and transform into another product so therefore environmentally friendly, more information regarding recycling will be found at a link at the foot of this page
