The Vision CP645 is a sealed battery. It is often used in portable devices such as torches, children's toys, high-end medical equipment, and even heavy-duty scales.
Although the battery needs no maintenance, it must be kept charged. If it is a fixed device that might have constant mains power, this will not be an issue as the battery will be held at its optimum charge level via the device itself.
If it will be installed in a portable device, it is essential to keep a reasonable charge. Lead-type batteries will last many charges if not allowed to be discharged too much. In best practice, recharge after every use, and if not used for long periods, then charge every four or five weeks to keep the cells full.
