The trick to a long cordless power tool battery life is using them a lot, tradesmen will almost certainly benefit from a long battery life purely for this reason. They will be forever using and charging the battery pack which is perfect. If you are an occasional user of your Black-and-Decker tool with the either the PS120 or A9251 then what you need to try to do is to keep the battery charged. Charge it fully before first use, charge it as soon as you can after use, if there are long spells that you are not using then charge every 10-weeks. Perhaps less if stored in a cold damp garden shed, but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.

Ensure you charge fully when it arrives and first use, it will come out to you almost fully charged but the first one is always important. You will probably not notice it but it will take up to ten charges and use in your tool before the battery is capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is quite normal and part of the conditioning process that rechargeable batteries go through.
