When you receive your order from us the batteries will be almost fully charged but even so you will still need to complete a charge before first use, if the battery is being fitted in something like an alarm system then you can miss this step as it will do a better job of charging it than you, the period of this initial charge before use need only be until the charger states they are ready, probably not very long at all, you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, unless as stated above, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy
These 6v batteries are AGM and VRLA they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in portable devices, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance
Ensure that you order the right battery by carefully checking the information, a lot of them are very similar so it can be easy to make a mistake, if in doubt check the old battery, the dimensions and anything written on the side of them, we have included the physical size so you can double check, these 6-volt 1.2ah batteries are made mainly of lead which is easy to be recycled, more information about recycling can be found at the foot of this page
