When you receive your order of batteries from us they will have a fairly high charge in them, but you still need to fully charge them before first use, the only time you do not need to do this is if it's going into something with its own always connected power supply, for example a alarm system, as this will do the job of charging for you, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, it will probably not take very long, you may well just want to fit them and use the equipment, but do not miss this first step if needed, it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it may well contribute to over life span

While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, once you have used your portable equipment then put the batteries back on charge, do not let them sit in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, never go out of your way to deliberately discharge fully, this will only reduce overall life span, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and never put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
