This sealed lead battery that you obtain from us will be almost fully charged, but you should still charge them fully before first use, this will not be necessary only if being fitted in something that has its own built in charger that is always connected to the mains like an alarm system which will do the job for you, you do not need to leave it on for hours on end its almost fully charged, it will probably not take very long at all depending on the charger, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished, do not just fit them without this initial charge, it will not take long anyway, it will not take long as it is almost fully charged anyway and it may help to extend the battery life overall
While is not something that most will even notice but if being used in a portable piece of equipment it could take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, letting your new batteries sit in a discharged state, even partially is not a good idea, so if being used in a portable device as soon as you have used them put them back on charge, never go out of your way to deliberately discharge the batteries, it will not rejuvenate them, with this type of technology it will only mean a shorter life, if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and never put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
