The X-750 uninterruptible power supply is a slim 2u rack mount capable (can also be used as a tower) 600w 750VA extended runtime UPS system with liquid crystal display. It has a handy push button circuit breaker and a smart external battery connector to enable connection to external batteries for even longer runtime. Battery pack is found under the front panel, clip of the panel and slide out the battery case, open it and swap the batteries over.
Battery type is valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, they are the recommended 9AH versions of the battery. They benefit from AGM Technology, they will not spill and safe, not-hazardous so can be used in mission critical environments such as data centres and hospitals. They are hot swap capable, expected life span in such a application is between 2-5 years, this can be greatly effected by outside influences the main one is normally due to insufficient ventilation in the communications room.
How to maximise the life of your batteries?
The manufacturer claims that when installed in a UPS machine, these batteries should last two to five years, which is consistent with APC's claims. We recommend that once the batteries have been installed in your system, you run it without any load to help them reset and extend the battery life for future use. Other battery-life-extension tips include providing adequate ventilation around the system while it keeping the system clean, storing it in a climate-controlled room, and using less than 40% load whenever possible.
