The SMX1000i is a 1000VA 800w UPS system with temperature controlled regulated battery charging, this helps extend the life by throttling the voltage supplied to the battery according the temperature this not only cuts down on energy used and extends battery life but also reduces heat loss. It has a LCD screen to assist configuration with navigational keys for easy use, it is a 2U rack mount capable case that can also be used in a tower configuration.
This offer is for a set of four of the recommended 12-volt 9-amp hour batteries, they are valve regulated sealed lead with AGM construction, safe, not-spillable, not-hazardous, suitable for use in busy data centers and other mission critical environments as well as the home and office. Fitting of these hot swap capable batteries is quite straight forward, you should of course refer to your manual before hand, its a matter of removing the font bezel or panel and sliding out the battery tray, inside this are the four batteries that you need to swap over.
Installation
Installation is fairly simple and can be completed by most people; however, if in doubt, please seek professional assistance. We've included a rough guide to get you started; the battery module is hot-swappable, so there's no need to turn it off. To begin, remove the machine's back cover and unplug the battery module. Unscrew the screws and slide the module out. Replace the batteries inside and slide the module back in, making sure the screws are back in place and the cover is replaced.
