The batteries that we send to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, so it of course follows that there will be a period of time where you do not have the full protection that your UPS could offer until it has completed this operation, we know it is probably urgently being used but its best to run without a load to start so it can reset itself.

Battery life expectancy is between two to five years in this UPS, this will however will vary depending on the conditions or storage and overall use, supplying adequate ventilation is important, the batteries are being continuously used the hotter they get the shorter the life span, try and keep the load below 40% if you can, while it may well be capable of more it will shorten the battery life.

The batteries are valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA for short with AGM technology, no need for any maintenance and can be mounted on their side in a UPS with fear of leakage, they are not-hazardous so safe for use in hospitals, busy data centres as well as the home office.
