AEG Protect A 500 UPS batteries sealed VRLA AGM
Replacement AEG Protect A 500 batteries, rechargeable valve regulated sealed lead non-spillable UPS battery backup power pack at low competitive price direct from warehouse
You are probably visiting this page because your UPS is bleeping away with a very annoying tone, its shouting at you like a demanding child "give me new batteries", this is not something to be scared of, it's just general renewal maintenance, but it's not a good idea to delay as it does the job of protecting all of the valuable data behind it, it's not a difficult job and will need to done every few years, below you will find details of the battery for your AEG Protect A 500, the electric energy that is required for this device to function is stored onboard in the batteries, it takes the mains supply and smoothes out spikes as pushes it through the batteries and is powered by 12-volt cells, this system comes with 1 x 12v batteries and that is what we are offering on this page, they are of course recyclable by far the main component in them is lead, this means that they are a environmentally friendly form of protection because they can easily be made into something else, maybe even more batteries when the time comes for recycling, and by fitting them in your machine you are prolonging the life of your equipment which is also a bonus rather than it coming to a miserable end on land fill when there are probably many years of very useful life left in it yet.
- AEG Protect A 500 battery replacement
We will send out batteries that are almost fully charged, after fitting the UPS will top up and complete a full charge, with this in mind it will follow that there will be a short period of time that the system is unable to offer its full runtime protection while it is doing this, if you can manage it the best advice would be to allow the initial charge to complete without any load, we know this may not be convenient in a lot of installations
Batteries used in this application would have expected life span of between two to five years, this will however differ quite a lot from user to user depending on the use, ventilation is important, best placed to site would be in an air conditioned communications room, batteries will in general get hot if the heat cannot disperse it will shorten life span, to get a long battery life you should try to keep the load below 40%, if you have added more devices over time this may have crept up, its capable much more but the pay off will be battery life so it's a balancing act
These batteries will require no general maintenance whatsoever, this of course does not include charging, they are AGM and VRLA, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in busy data centres or the home office, they can be used in rack mountable or tower systems as they will not leak if mounted on the side
We offer the information on this page as a guide only, if you carefully check the code on your UPS then you should be ok but look carefully as so many are very similar and its easy to make a mistake, the batteries are environmentally friendly and recyclable, more information regarding recycling will be found at a link at the foot of this page.
