The new batteries that we dispatch out to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to fulfil and complete a service charge after installing. of course it will follow that during this short interim period your system will not be able to offer you its full runtime protection until it has finished this task. we know it may not always be convenient as everything is completed a rush in this fast moving world but if you can its best to run the system without any load added while the first charge is completed.

While many large institutions might change the batteries every 1-2 years without fail, you should expect somewhere between two to five year life span, this will of course vary from user to user be very dependent on its general use, do not pile books or files on top of it, it needs good ventilation, batteries will get very hot. if the vents are blocked it will get hotter, the hotter it gets the shorter the life, try and keep the constant load below 40%, while it may well be capable of much more it will shorten the battery life so it's a balancing act.

These batteries are valve regulated, they are recommended for use in uninterruptible power supplies. they will not leak due to the advanced absorbed glass mat technology, being both AGM and VRLA they can be used in both tower or rack configurations as they can be mounted on the side, also not-hazardous so safe for mission critical installations, busy data centres, medical back up and even the home office.

these hot swap capable batteries are recyclable, please ensure they are disposed of at a recycling centre when they have fulfilled their purpose for you, more information about recycling can be found at the foot of this page, check the product code carefully before ordering as many UPS systems have similar ones.
