The batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged, your UPS will complete a full charge and this helps it reset to the new battery cell, of course while this charge going on your UPS will not be in a position to offer the full runtime protection until its finished this, if you have the opportunity, maybe of an evening, it will be best to run the system without a load to start so it can properly reset itself to the new energy level
You can assume that battery life in the UPS would be between 2-5 years, the usage over time however will determine this, good ventilation is always important, so often they are used as a book shelf, the higher the constant load applied the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%
These batteries will require no general maintenance whatsoever, this of course does not include charging, they are AGM and VRLA, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in busy data centres or the home office, they can be used in rack mountable or tower systems as they will not leak if mounted on the side
