This energy pack replaces the battery for the Skyjack SJPX Personnel Lift; the onboard energy storage facility is powered by a 12V battery. This, as you would expect, is rechargeable and recyclable, ensuring a long life.
This Skyjack SJPX Sealed for life battery is essentially flooded with the option of maintenance removed. They therefore need no maintenance throughout their life span; they do, however, still need venting, so they cannot be sited in a totally sealed battery box. The convenience of not having to maintain the batteries in a commercial industrial setting such as this clearly has its advantages. SFL (sealed for life) batteries are rechargeable and recyclable.
Please ensure you fully charge your new Skyjack SJPX battery when it arrives and before first use. If, for any reason, it's not used for a long period, then also recharge every six weeks to keep the cells in good order.
