Changing the batteries in the GXT3-3000RT230 is relatively straight forward, refer to your manual for full details, the general outline will be as follows, pull off the front cover bezel, remove the battery door by undoing the six screws holding it on and pull out the battery box about 2 inches so you can undo the cable connector, then you can slide it out the rest of the way. Its heavy, will say it again,it really heavy so be careful, once this is out you will be able to see the 6 batteries and the wired loom connecting them, its only a matter of swapping the batteries out with 2 cables on each so very simple, but we would suggest taking a quick picture at this time on your camera phone as you never know if you will be disturbed half way through and if you didn't and you need something to refer to you will kick yourself. Then just replace in reverse order.
