Gel batteries are very similar to AGM but the electrolyte is suspended in silica gelified solution, it is valve regulated and will not spill so safe for use indoors as well as outside they are used in many types of device, mobility scooters and wheelchairs, Golf carts, uninterruptible power supplies, solar energy storage and many more, they are able to recover more efficiently from higher levels of deep cycle than other types and often favoured because of this ability.

If you are fitting this battery in something with its own built in charging source like a UPS or solar panel array then the device will take care of the charging and do a much better job of it than you probably could. If however its being fitted in a application that requires user interaction for the charging regime like a mobility scooter or golf cart then charge fully when you receive the package from us and before first use, charge after each and every use, do not try to run them down and if not being used for long periods then charge every four weeks to keep the cells fresh and help to prolong the life span of the cells.
