The Stannah-Sadler is a variation on a theme where a user with limited flexibility requires assistance on traversing the stairs, its design helps maintain a more upright posture but still support the weight via the seat reducing the adverse pressure on the legs knees and hips, as the motion will not start until the seat belt is in place it further aids safety.

The batteries themselves are valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA and will not leak, not-hazardous so safe and convenient for the home. if for any reason they are not used for long periods, perhaps its a holiday home or you are away for extended periods then the batteries must be charged every four weeks so build this in to your general consideration of the welfare of the chairlift.
