The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installation, this will mean that during this short interim period the full runtime protection will not be available to be utilised until its finished, while you might just want to install and go, if you can it may be better to start without load until its completed its first charge, this will give the system chance to reset to the new batteries properly
You will find that some financial houses will change the batteries every year regardless, but you can expect a life span of between 2-5 years, this will however vary somewhat depending on the general position of the item and overall use, ensure there is plenty of ventilation around the device, do not cover the vents or place it next to a radiator, do not use it as a book shelf, if the batteries get to hot all the time it will shorten the life span, try and keep the constant load below 40%, while it may well be capable of much more it will shorten the battery life so it's a balancing act
These batteries can be mounted on the side without any issues, no leaking, which means they can be used in tower or rack mountable situations, they are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology they are not-hazardous so safe for use in critical environments
