Despite the fact that the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged the system will still need to complete and finish off a full charge, this will of course mean that until its finished this operation you will not have a full backup runtime protection, while you might just want to install and go, if you can it may be better to start without load until its completed its first charge, this will give the system chance to reset to the new batteries properly
While many large institutions might change the batteries every 1 or 2 years without fail, you should expect somewhere between two to five year life span, this will however differ quite a lot from user to user depending on the use, ensure there is plenty of ventilation around the device, do not cover the vents or place it next to a radiator, do not use it as a book shelf, if the batteries get to hot all the time it will shorten the life span, the higher the constant load applied the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%
