The new compatible SU1400RMBX120 batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge upon installation. Of course, while this charge is ongoing, your UPS will not be able to provide full runtime protection until it's finished. This, you probably just want to install and go, but it's best to run the system without a load so it can properly reset.
Battery life expectancy is between two to five years in this UPS, this will be very dependent on the use and the way the system is stored, the batteries will get hot in general use, the hotter they get the shorter the life so good ventilation is paramount, keep an eye on the load, do not have to many devices connected, if you can keep it below 40% it will last longer, while its more than capable of going higher it will be at the expense of the SU1400RMBX120 battery life
