Installing the batteries is comparatively simple, refer to your manual for the procedure if you are not sure, they will come out to you almost fully charge but the system will still need to complete a service charge upon firing up, it does mean of course that during this interim period the full runtime protection will not be available to you until its finished, if you can it would be best to allow the initial charge without any load to start, we know this may not be convenient in a lot of installations but that is best advise it's up to you whether you heed it
Batteries in this type of installation would typically have a expected life span of between 2-5 years, this will be dependant the use your put it to, sufficient ventilation is important, preferably in a air conditioned communications room, batteries will in general use get hot if the heat cannot disperse it will shorten life span, If you can keep the load below 40% the batteries will last longer, a high load will be at the expense of the overall life span of the cells
These batteries are valve regulated, recommended for uninterruptible power supplies, they will not leak due to the advanced absorbed glass mat technology, being both AGM and VRLA they can be used in both tower or rack configurations, also not-hazardous so safe for mission critical installations
