The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but your UPS will still need to complete a full service charge, you should note that while this is going on the system will of course not be able to offer the full runtime backup time period until it has finished doing this, while it may never be convenient in this fast moving world it would still be best to run without any load to start so the system can fully reset itself to the new battery energy level
You can assume that battery life in the UPS would be between 2-5 years, how it's used over time however will determine this, one thing to make sure is the vents have access cool air, quite often they are tucked under desks or other such warm places with little ventilation, the batteries will get hot that's normal, but the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan will be, If you add more devices over time keep an eye on the load, if you can keep it below 40% it will last longer, while its more than capable of going higher it will be at the expense of the battery life
