Keep your new battery fully charged. Charge when it arrives and first uses. If you are not using it during the winter season, then our best advice would be to remove it from the machinery, or at least disconnect it from the frame, charge it thoroughly, then store it somewhere dry, keep it off a cold garage floor, even if it's on a thick piece of timber. Recharge every eight weeks to try to combat the natural self-discharge that will occur from non-use, do not leave it on a charger 24/7 either. This can do more damage than good. Charge it, then remove it.
