This is a set of eight batteries for the large UPS system. The batteries are the valve-regulated lead-acid type with the added benefit of having absorbed glass mat technology. These combine to provide a safe and reliable power source suitable for this installation that will not leak nor be hazardous. Please take a look at your manual for fitting. As with any electrical device, proper care and technical knowledge should be taken with them.

The expected life span of batteries in such a device is between 3-5 years, but this would be in ideal conditions, a dust-free environment and a climate-controlled atmosphere. While you might not be able to supply these conditions for your UPS, you can help make sure that the vents are kept clear and any build-up of dust removed quickly. These particles end up on the fan surfaces reducing their efficiency and allowing the batteries to run hotter than they need to. This, in turn, over time, will shorten their life span of them.

These batteries are a recyclable product when they have eventually come to the end of their useful life and require replacing. Please ensure they are directed to an appropriate recycling point for processing. More information on this subject may be found on our recycle page.

Eight batteries are in the pack for the Powerware PW9120-3000 and PW9120-3000i UPS. The physical size of the individual batteries are as follows:
Length = 151mm
Width = 65mm
Height = 94mm.
We can also offer this battery as a 9ah version to extend runtime. It is the same physical size and will slip straight in. You will need eight of them if you wish to replace the standard 7ah as fitted standard. You can add them as an easy upgrade option above.
