The batteries that we will send out to you will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to finish off a full service charge, with this in mind it follows that there is a certain period of time that the system is unable to offer its full runtime protection while it is doing this, we know it is probably urgently being used but its best to run without a load to start so it can reset itself

It would be fair to expect batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, this is not a set rule though and a lot will depend on how they are used, supplying adequate ventilation is important, the batteries are being continuously used the hotter they get the shorter the life span, keep an eye on the load, do not have to many devices connected, if you can keep it below 40% it will last longer, while its more than capable of going higher it will be at the expense of the battery life

These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak so there is no problem installing in tower or rack systems as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for busy data centres as well of course as the home office
