The new batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, this of course means that until its finished you will not have a full backup runtime, if you have the opportunity maybe you are doing at a weekend then it will be best to run the system without a load to start so it can properly reset itself to the new energy level, while not essential and not likely in busy data centres it is recommended.
Battery life expectancy is between 2-5 years in this UPS, how it's used however will determine this, supplying adequate ventilation is important, the batteries are being continuously used the hotter they get the shorter the life span, the higher the load the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%.
The battery type is AGM or absorbed glass mat construction, they are also valve regulated, they means they can be used in tower or rack mounted UPS systems without the fear of any leakage, they will require no maintenance throughout their entire life span and are not-hazardous so safe for use in busy data centres and of course the home office.
