Even though the batteries that we will send out to you will almost be fully charged the UPS will still need to fulfil and complete a full service charge when installed, so it of course follows that there will be a period of time where you do not have the full protection that your UPS could offer until it has completed this operation, we know it is probably urgently being used but its best to run without a load to start so it can reset itself
It may be reasonable to expect two to five years from your new batteries in this UPS, this will be dependant the use your put it to, using the UPS system as part of the office furniture, putting boxes or piling up files on it is not the best idea, it needs good ventilation, the batteries will in general use get very hot as they are working hard 24-hours a day, the more heat the shorter their life so give it the opportunity breath, also do not overload with to many devices, if you can keep the load below 40%, while the system may be of going higher than that its working the battery cell harder which means a shorter life span
These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak so there is no problem installing in tower or rack systems as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for busy data centres as well of course as the home office
