Your new batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, you should of course be aware that while this is happening the system will not be able to offer the full backup runtime period until its finished, you probably just want to install and go but its best to run the system without a load to so it can properly reset

You could reasonably expect this of battery to last between two to five years in this kind of device, this is not a set rule though and a lot will depend on how they are used, ensure the system is not buried under piles of paper work as they often are in a office, the batteries get hot, the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan, try and keep the load below 40% if you can, while it may well be capable of more it will shorten the battery life

These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak so there is no problem installing in tower or rack systems as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for busy data centres as well of course as the home office
