This pack contains four batteries to replace the RBC11 battery module, fitting is easy and you can save lots of money by doing it yourself, you already know your UPS needs new batteries, thats why the LED light is flashing, and you may also have a horrible noise going off every now and again just to remind you, so order and change them your self, just think how much the call out is on its own for your information technology guy to drop in.
Now that you have decided to order the batteries and do the job yourself here are a few tips, make sure you have a SU2200RMXL, it will be written on a plate on the reverse of the UPS.
Once you receive the batteries, take them out of the box, you will see there are four batteries, they are quite heavy just put them on a bench or desk ready to use.
Disconnect any equipment from your UPS and shutdown, remove power lead.
You will be able to slide down the bottom part of the front panel on your UPS and remove, there will then be 4 screws to remove, you will be able to see a connector plug, undo this and pull out the first battery module, then do the same with the second and put them on the bench.
Put the new batteries in pairs like the old ones and takes the cables off and place on the new ones, you can if you wish use a double sided sticky pad or glue, silicon between them to make it easier to handle when you put them back, then just reverse the order in which you removed them and you are done, whole job will not take more than 10 minutes.
There are four batteries in total, these combine to make 2 units, they are 12-volt sealed batteries, valve regulated and designed for this kind of installation.
You may wish to run UPS with the new batteries without any load until they are fully charged for the first time.
