Your new batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, so it of course follows that there will be a period of time where you do not have the full protection that your UPS could offer until it has completed this operation, best advice would be to allow the system to run without load to start to allow the new battery energy level to reset
It would be fair to expect batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, this will however very much depend on how they are used, ensure the system is not buried under piles of paper work as they often are in a office, the batteries get hot, the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan, If you can keep the load below 40% the batteries will last longer, a high load will be at the expense of the overall life span of the cells
These batteries will require no general maintenance, they are AGM and VRLA, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in busy data centres or the home office, they can be used in rack mountable or tower systems as they will not leak if mounted on the side
