The new batteries that we dispatch out to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to fulfil and complete a service charge after installing, so it will follow that there will be a short period of time where you do not have the full runtime protection that your UPS could possibly offer you until it has completed this operation, we know the system is probably urgently being used but if you can its best to run without a load to start so it can complete the job and reset itself to the new energy level.
It would be reasonable to expect a life span of 2-5 years of batteries in this kind of device, the usage over time however will determine this, good ventilation is always important, so often they are used as a book shelf, also do not overload with too many devices, quite often more are added over time, if you can keep the load below 40%, while the system may be of going higher than that its working the battery cell harder which will mean a shorter life span.
