The RBC44 replacement battery pack is relatively easy to install, the pack has sixteen 12v recommended sealed lead acid non-spillable batteries. You just slide out the tray from your UPS system, most of them are hot-swap capable but if in doubt you should refer to your owner manual. If it is not then you should power down the system first and disconnect completely from power by removing the lead.
Then just lay the cartridge on a bench or desk, open the door and you will see eight batteries in each. Just swap the cables over to the new batteries, one at a time so you do not make a mistake, shut the door and put them back in the UPS before pulling out the other tray and doing the same.
Most of these systems will reset themselves when you fit new batteries. But if in doubt you can run the UPS without load until the batteries are fully charged, they will have probably come to you almost fully charged anyway so it will not take long.
