The Sherpa electric-powered SPB-500 is a motorised wheelbarrow that takes the hard work out of moving heavy objects around the yard. These are often seen in garden centres, building sites, horse livery yards and anywhere that requires heavy items to be moved around. It takes a rechargeable heavy-duty battery pack, and this offer is the replacement batteries to go into this pack, a pair of 12v 10ah batteries that combine to produce 24v.

The batteries are easy to fit, look at your pack, and you will see some screws, undo these to remove the lid and replace the batteries. It should be no more than a five-minute job.

We would recommend that you fully charge the batteries before first use. We would also suggest you charge after every use. do not leave it on the charger for extended periods, though. If you only use it once a week, charge until fully charged, then remove it from the charger. This type of technology is not suitable to be sitting around in a discharged state for any period more than necessary. In general, it will serve you well to never use the final 20% capacity. If you can manage this, the batteries will last much longer overall. If you are not using the Sherpa SPB-500 wheelbarrow for long periods, then charge every eight weeks to slow down the natural self-discharge.
