The Electric Mobility Rascal 388 and 388XL can be broken down into smaller parts for ease of transportation but still maintain many features of a larger scooter. The standard fit batteries are 30-amp hour. This offer is for a pair of 35ah batteries for longer runtime. We may be able to offer GEL and lithium versions as well. There are two batteries in this set.
Charging your batteries is the best way to get the most from them. Charge upon receipt and before using them for the first time. Further charge after every use. It is not wise to allow them to sit in a discharged state for any period if you can help it. Try never to use the last thirty percent of the capacity. This will allow the batteries to have a long life. If not used, a top-up charge every two months will help overcome the natural self-discharge affecting all rechargeable batteries.
These batteries are recyclable. When they have eventually reached the end of life, please ensure they are directed to a recycling centre for processing so the valuable high lead content can be used in another product. More information on recycling can be found on our recycle page.
