Charging and maintenance of your batteries
Your Borgarelli-B9000 or B92000 mobility scooter is powered by two sealed and maintenance-free 12v 50ah deep-cycle batteries. Although the batteries will be sent nearly completely charged, we recommend that you fully charge them before the first use and, more importantly, after each use. If they will not be used for more than eight weeks at a time, a top-up charge will help them last longer.
Deep-cycle batteries that are completely charged offer dependable performance and longer battery life. Batteries can sustain permanent damage through frequent deep discharges, infrequent charging, or storage without a full charge, leading to unpredictable performance and a short lifespan.
How to replace your batteries
Remove the seat and rear shroud first, and then untie the battery strap. Disconnect the battery cables from the battery terminals and the electronic controller module. You can now carefully remove the old battery so that it can be recycled. Connect the red battery wire to the positive battery terminal and the black battery cable to the negative battery terminal after placing the new battery into the battery well. Connect the battery cables to the electronic controller module and tighten the battery tie-down strap. Finally, replace the rear shroud and seat last.
