The batteries will be delivered with a very good charge in them, but even so your you will still need to give them a full charge before using for the first time, there should be no need for many hours, it will probably not take very long at all, just until your charger indicates they are ready, this will of course depend on the charger capabilities, make sure you do not miss the initial charge, doing so may reduce overall life expectancy
